Principal's Corner

Jessica White became the principal of ORMS for the 2021-2022 school Year. She most recently served as the assistant principal for ORMS. 

White has been an educator for more than 26 years. She began her career in 1997 as a math teacher in Sheldon ISD. She worked as a classroom teacher for more than 17 years in districts such as North East ISD, Galena Park ISD and Comal ISD before becoming an assistant principal at Canyon Middle School in Comal ISD. In 2015, she joined NBISD in her current position at ORMS. Her duties include serving as the testing coordinator, discipline facilitator, 504 coordinator, T-TESS trainer and supervisor over several campus departments. 

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and her Master of Educational Leadership from Lamar University. She is a member of the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals and Delta Kappa Gamma Society of Women Educators.

Her past honors include being named the Texas Area 12 Student Council Sponsor of the Year while at Canyon MS in both 2012 and 2014. She was also named the Canyon Middle School’s Campus Teacher of Year in 2009 and 2011 and the Campus Rookie of the Year at CE King Middle School (Sheldon ISD) in 1998.

Her husband, Lyn, is a teacher, and they have two children. They enjoy all that New Braunfels has to offer in outdoor recreation.
